Some people would put VRML itself in this graveyard. Well, tough luck, all you gravediggers. There are so many new VRML worlds and models appearing every day that nobody can keep up with them. And if, as some of us suspect, a successor to VRML comes along (like X3D), not one minute you spend learning VRML and not one byte of a VRML model you build will go to waste.
So if you'd like to announce the Death of VRML (an annual topic on the www-vrml list since 1995)
and the Birth of the Next Big 3D Technology on the Web(tm), please try to do it quietly. The rest of us are having
fun and learning 3D.
Here lie some of our favorite links, but we hope most earnestly that they don't rest in peace.
